2/8 - 60 minutes (8 miles)

2/9 - workout (32 minutes warm up, then 12x400 @ 5K goal pace with 100 recovery - 71.4, 36 recovery, 73.3, 34 recovery, 72.2, 34 recovery, 72.8, 34 recovery, 71.4, 34 recovery, 71.6, 33 recovery, 72.1, 35 recovery, 72.0, 34 recovery, 72.5, 33 recovery, 72.7, 34 recovery, 71.6, 33 recovery, 71.9, 10 minutes cool down) Nice workout, felt pretty good. (9 miles)

2/10 - 51 minutes (7 miles)

2/11 - 51 minutes (7 miles) 5 x 15 second strides

2/12 - 38 minutes (5 miles)

2/13 - BU Valentine Meet 5K - 14:56.28 (About 30 minutes total warm up and only about 15 minutes cool down) (8 miles)

2/14 - 90 minutes (12 miles)

Summary: 56 miles for the goal race week, with a very satisfying indoor 5k debut at 14:56.28! I'll attempt some prose over the next day or two and slap together a race report to recap the most grueling 15 minutes of my life.

Thanks gents...I was pretty thrilled with how the race went. I managed to get in the right race and hung on to the pace just long enough to get the job done.
