Week ending February 7, 2010

2/1 - 60 minutes (8 miles)

2/2 - workout (27 minutes warm up, then 6x800 @ 5K goal pace with 200 recovery - 2:22.7, 1:08 recovery, 2:24.0, 1:08 recovery, 2:22.2, 1:08 recovery, 2:23.8, 1:12 recovery, 2:23.6, 1:09 recovery, 2:22.0, 15 minutes cool down) Last couple of reps were tough. (9 miles)

2/3 - 60 minutes (8 miles)

2/4 - 65 minutes (10 miles)

2/5 - 40 minutes AM (5 miles), 50 minutes PM (7 miles)

2/6 - 60 minutes (8 miles)

2/7 - 88 minutes (13 miles)

Summary: 68 miles for the week with a good workout at goal 5K pace. Cut back miles a bit this week intentionally.

"Cut back miles this week intentionally" is akin to "When I say 8-minute pace it's because I don't wear a watch... not because I'm actually running 8-minute pace."

LOL, probably. It was supposed to be a hint that I'm tapering for the BU meet on Saturday. Are you working out at UNH tonight?
